Niykee is a songwriter who, despite her recent hectic career, has kept an ongoing routine. Some of her personal highlights been being selected by Snoop dogg to be his sidekick at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. The singer-songwriter is fascinated by Niykee. She constantly checks out the most recent beats. They often inspire songs. She states that she can tell if the beat is a good one in less than 5 minutes. Then, a new song may pop up in her brain. When I am playing my guitar in my front yard, words start to flow. Most times, it's completed in just about 30 minutes. Niykee says that when she develops as a lyricist and musician, her memories of her youth serve as inspiration. Niykee says that, even when she's not writing about things that are actually happening, all of her pain through her childhood and loss of her sister makes it's way into her music. This shapes my music and gives it a deeper significance, something I consider extremely important. I'd like to be able to hear my songs in 20 years and feel proud of my words.
